About cloth

Debuting on downtown Princess Street in November of 2013, cloth was designed to be a unique, enjoyable and affordable shopping experience that can be as personalized as our guests wish. We have proudly incorporated the heritage aspects of our limestone building into our two floors of retail space.

We aim to carry something for everyone, which means offering sizes from XS to 2XL. The key is knowing what styles look good on every body type!

  • Joseph Ribkoff
  • Tribal
  • Point Zero
  • Pretty Woman
  • Red Coral

Among our quality outfits for leisure, work or semi-formal occasions, we also carry a large collection of seasonal outerwear, fashion accessories and distinctive gift ideas.

If guests can’t decide between all the available items in stock, the staff at cloth are more than happy to offer style advice. We are passionate about the clothing lines we represent and know the merchandise inside and out.

We offer a great policy of one-week returns and exchanges – no hassle – with proof of purchase. This makes gift-giving easier and allows you to try on dresses in the comfort of your own home!

Cheryl Walker, owner and founder of cloth, has drawn on her thirty years of retail experience and longstanding trade relationships in the Toronto area, and adopted some of the distinct aspects of Kingston in order to open cloth. She has owned and managed up to six separate outlets for more than seventeen years! She loves buying for her stores, and prides herself on knowing exactly what is in stock at any given time. Helping her customers find amazing pieces, making them happy, and keeping them returning is a great part of what Cheryl loves about fashion retail.

We love to give back to our great group of loyal customers that support local businesses and the downtown area. Don’t miss out on our weekly deals. Avoid the mall, support local businesses, and come say hello today!

cloth is committed to giving back to the Kingston community. With 2 fashion shows a year, cloth and our loyal customers have raised tons of money for local charities. We participate in other charity events by donating door prizes or silent auction items to raise money for their causes. Cheryl also supports various sports teams through sponsorship. Local events and causes regularly supported include the Italo-Canadian Club Ladies Association, Alzheimers Society, and Kingston Mental Health.
